That when I select all and click properties, it adds up to like 4gb worth of files. I assume it's some sort of linking, but I can't figure out how it's being done to figure out which files are real and which aren't.

That may or may not be the cd I have. So, how do they accomplish that? I assume there is one directory that has all the files common to all the distros, then in each different flavor, they have just a few files that are different. And I am sure this is all accomplished by some sort of file system/structure trickery. But I can't figure out how it is done.

yeah, I also wanted to know how it was done. I think it just uses linking/toc edits to link to the replicated files in each install for every "instance" (version) of the disk. it would be slick to figure out how to do this though
