I told my dad how i miss my old '90 celica. he said it's at his house. he put 600 dollars worth of parts replacing the cv joints, bearings, rotors, and some other shit on the front end that was all outta wack. (he really did put 600 in, and that's without labor, yeah it sounds like a lot but a whole lotta shit on the front end was fucked up, and he got tired of using autozone parts and bought toyota parts)

he said since the car was mine to begin with for 600 I can have it back again.

he said i should probably sell my 94 ram 1500 4x4.

he said i could take the money i use from selling my ram and dump it into the bike.

I definately am going to give my dad the 600 to get the celica back. It has 155k miles or so and a new clutch in a 123k and it should last quite a while longer. besides the gas mileage it gets is awesome.

I dont really want to part with the pickup though. it's very useful moving shit around etc..

what would you guys do? I might keep the pickup at my work on the weekends so i can keep both.

I dont even think my ram would fetch a price worthy enough of selling it. it has 213k miles even though the body etc are all in good condition with newer paint..

i doubt it was sitting, considering all of the new parts used.

would you throw away $600?

for the ram not sure.

about the celica he just wants the 600 out of it that HE PUT INTO IT. im looking up the kbb on the ram.

it has year old..

paint, water pump, radiator, brake master cylinder, fuel pump, fuel filter, altenator, clutch

i changed the tranny fluid, transfer case fluid (put new seats in transfer case) and diff fluid front and rear.

about choosing which shitter to drive... that's pretty much the case. the ram gets 15-16mpg while the celica gets 30mpg.

igor the first two drums in your transmission are heating up and binding together. Eventually they will weld themselves in this fashion. i saw it earlier this week on another dodge transmission. its very common apparantly.

so what are my options? in addition to a) swapping the whole fuckin transmission and b) towing it to a cliff and pushing it over?

why not just keep both? it's only 600 bucks. that thing was beat on the front end, but it sounds like your dad finally has it straight.

drive it daily to save gas or whatever, keep the truck to play/haul with.

^^ahaha... true dat. hangin the car from a hoist. i actually put that wagon back together alot better than i had planned.

half of kyle's shit was missing before i even touched it. sheared bolts on the cv shaft carrier bearing, backed out bellhousing bolts, etc. wheel hop isn't friendly to fwd cars.

don't feel bad, clutches don't last much longer for me in anything.
