you might have one of the worst painted and worst designed domes in the nation although i know the alumni paid for it all.

and by the way, all those banners...I think they must have one for every win or every dunk that has been made in that place.

wasn't there some guy from SI (i don't remember) that said he was in the RBC Center a few weeks ago and saying we put up a banner for everything we did

unless things have changed drastically since the last time i was in the rbc center, the banners hanging from the ceiling in the dean dome compared to the rbc center is like a 10:1 ratio... they seem to "honor" a jersey for anybody that averages more than 8 pts a season for em.

UNC has a jersey for everyone that has stepped foot into a pair of shoes on that court.
its crazy and totally unwarranted for some of those guys.

you need to go and see it to understand what i mean, or just watch a game when they show the rafters...even in 2k7 they have it as a loud place when it doesnt even match up to the RBC when its rockin

retired must be a consensus NPOY

honored is a 1st or 2nd team all-america, ACC regular season MVP, MVP of a national championship team (as voted by the players) or a member of a gold medal winning olympic team. its not ambiguous, just a lot of damn good players

they take up the ice and then put down another court for the ice. the court condenses moisture out of the air because the floor is cold, not because there is ice under there.

I know people that work there and DO it, the changing.

next game you go to look on the side lines right behind the goals, pick up one of those mats or look at the corners where the mats meet and you will see the ice under those mats...u can even put your finger down there and feel it and make sure its ice.

its rubber or foam mats that hold in the temperature , the court is placed on top of those mats on top of the ice

you actually think last night they could have went from court with no ice under to puttin down water, freezing it and painting it all within that amount of time?

yeah its get louder for hockey, more action and most all the games are competitive the whole game, instead of in basketball in which some of the games are competitive most of the game
