Looking to get a PDA in the near future, and was wondering if anyone had any advice. I'm mainly looking to use as a scheduling/planning tool and definitely for the wireless internet capabilities. I know that Dell offers a Windows Mobile OS (which I can imagine is as idiot-proof as any Windows product) but I know nothing about Palm and its OS. Any suggestions?

^^I've got a Dell Axim and it honestly doesn't do anything that Palm OS can't do. I'd save some money and get a Palm instead, the software support for windows mobile 5.0 is garbage at this point in time.

I have a treo 650 and like it. I thought about upgrading and checking out a windows mobile device, but I'm going to hold back. About the only super plus I saw was that syncing is supposed to be better with the windows devices. Even for that though it was more that it seemed integrated into windows instead of a separate and less slick app.

Even though the phones cost a whole lot more, I found it hard to get into the habit before with my old two palms. Now that it is into my phone, I have it all the time and actually use it. since we use exchange at work it is nice to be able to add my personal stuff to that and have it all.

wireless internet is a different story. Some phones have it built in, others don't. Some of them will automatically use your pc's connection if they are connected through usb. I commonly have my laptop or another machine handy to use so this wasn't a big deal for me. I can surf the web in a pinch if I want on the treo, but it isn't wifi or EVDO so it kinda sucks. Still better than nothing.
