Anyone been getting A TON of Laser hits around Lake Wheeler and 440 lately?

I have a Passport 8500 X50 and the last month or so i've been getting LASER hits every few minutes. Before that, I almost never got one.

Just want to see if it's my X50 that's messed up, or if everyone's been getting these.

It's seriously so annoying that I've started putting the thing on silent...or unplugging it altogether.

It's really pissing me off. I may see if I can just program it to not detect Laser.

Ok, so I just figured out what the problem is....

When I get on the gas hard it goes off with a LASER detection...goes off right when I tach 3k

Does not do this when I shift to neutral and rev it hard. Any ideas anyone?

I actually have this same thing happen with my passport 8500 non-x50
You can go into the menu and turn Lidar detection off though and problem solved
they do not use it around here anyway

^ I was talking to a NC SHP trooper over Christmas who told me they are just starting to use Lidar around here. Not that it's necessarily related to this thread, but if he is correct then we should start seeing it surface.

afaik Lidar does not hold up in court over more than a pretty short range
so as long as you are not fucking blind
you should be good anyway

Why does Lidar not hold up well in court compared to other methods?
