4.

^ Probably could, but there won't be a 400 dollar custom stock on it, either.

I'm not but it's because I'm waiting on Eagle One to get their range open next month. I'll be joining them or PDHSC. The main thing that held me back from them is the 3 sec. BS at Davi's and the fact that I've been hit by ricochets at PDHSC several times now (it's not lethal but a .45 to the head hurts like hell and 9mm/.40 still breaks the skin). They really need a better backstop. But I'll still be up there on Sunday or Monday most likely trying out my new Sig.

I'd be in for a thousand if this goes through. You have to watch the shipping costs at some of these companies though.

When is their estimated opening date? I'd be down for that, especially if they're going to run training classes out of it.

They moved to behind the Home Depot on Capital.

What are some good ranges in Raleigh? Is the Wake county range worth it? I never went there because they charge per hour what PHDHSC charges for the whole visit. Are there any outdoor ranges I can go in the middle of the week and pay $10 to shoot for the afternoon?

I like taking my 22 to the range but I hate paying more for range fees than ammo.

yeah, I'm serious. I am a magnet for crap flying off the backstop and hitting me at PDHSC. It's still my preferred place though (for open to the public at least, I *REALLY* like Wendell PD's qualification range but I can only go out there when some of my Zeb. PD buddies go.

Eagle One is in the shops behind Wal-mart off Wake Forest rd. like someone else mentioned. if you take the road on Wal-mart's left (when looking at the store) then they are at the end pretty much in front of you. IIRC, the range is supposed to open March 7th but I haven't talked to them in a few weeks. They recently had someone else take over the range contract after the first company screwed them on money and time estimates (it was supposed to open first week of January). The people are pretty cool although I'd rate them behind Lawman's and a few of the PDHSC people.

Wake Cty. range seems to be a joke. I've tried to get in there a few times but you have to take the retarded 2 hour range "class" before you can get cleared to shoot and they don't offer it enough. Add in the hours (which suck) and I've finally decided to say "screw it".

P.S. anybody know any good Sig forums? I picked up a P226 yesterday and all I know of is sigforum.com and sigforums.com.`

Sigforums is a great place to talk about sigs.
Lots of real world experts (as well as armchair experts).

thehighroad.org is a very good forum for all types of firearms.

BTW, you'll enjoy your Sig.
From my experience at ranges and shooting IDPA factory Sigs have fewer problems than anythign else people shoot. I've got a 228, a compact version of the 226, and it's been flawless after 4k+ rounds.

I use the FETC; Davi's is kinda far away and PDHSC... well, I just don't like the people that work there, although I've been told I should give them another chance :-/

I'm looking to buy an AK in the near future, so I'd be down for the 7.62 if it's a better price than, say, ammoman or something. non-corrosive, is, of course, a definite plus, but not stop-ship if the price it right. That's what a good cleaning is for

Also, I posted this on THR, but if anyone here can help me out too, that would be awesome.

Its a fun gun, but I haven't had too many chances to take it out of the case. If it was Jake's gun...then he would have it.

If you're ever at PDHSC when we are, sure. You can run a few through mine, but you'd probably like my girlfriends' Rock Island better.

Izhmash SAIGA shotgun:

That's a 20 gauge, but it's basically the same. I'm in the process of converting mine to evil AK form.

I enjoy this. However, it could use a little padding. Looking for a nice (not TOO expensive though) tactical light for it. Any suggestions?

I got into my truck and there was smoke rolling out of it, it had shorted and caught some papers on fire

^^

Streamlight needs to get off their ass with the pressure switch for the TLR, like the X200 has.

My shotgun's so much lighter since I took my tactical light off.. I can't figure it out..

Hell yeah. I thought it might be, but I wasn't sure if anyone else did those. I've got a Saiga in 7.62 and a buddy of mine has one in .410 gauge. Both are fun as hell to shoot, but I'd love to try out a Saiga-12 sometime. Might even buy one, but they are mucho $$.
