http://www.toyotaofdurham.com/

On the front page there and on the commercials they are advertising some kind of lifetime warranty. I have never heard of this on any car on my entire life. I'm not looking to buy anything from there... but does anybody know anything about it? I'm wondering what the loopholes are.

its probably for the lifetime of the first owner...so when you sell it, it won't transfer over.

It's probably limited to just the bolts or something like that.

Toyotas are good cars though.

what's funny is that every link on their webpage just alludes to the fact that it's non-transferable, but no terms of the agreement

it's a shit ass third party warranty.

the company is listed in the commercials.

i do like the free tires and oil changes for life that some dealers advertise.

it's nice. of course you do pay for the labor, but you can get them to agree to use tires of your choice during negotiations.

if it is anything like the limited lifetime warranty that i got with my '07 Matrix from scott clark toyota in charlotte it covers:

1) only the power train
2) it is transferable
3) you must keep up with ALL of the required maintenance or its invalid
4) and it is not provided by toyota but a third party

which means the value of the warranty is probably less than the paper it's wrote on.

David O'neil has "tires for life"

Problem is though you have to change the oil and all the fluids 2x more often than the manufacturer recommends so it would be cheaper just to buy the damn tires yourself.
