Can the Wolfpack keep the intensity going after coming off the biggest win in quite a while. It's obvious that with Atsur we are a completely different team. Can they get refocused back into just playing the game?

^I think it's highly likely. Paul Hewitt is going to look at the UNC game tape and decide to press and trap for the whole game. Hopefully we hit them with some good press breaks the first few times they do it and that will get them out of it.

Is GT a better 3 point shooting team? Regardless, we are going to need to crash the boards again like we did at UNC.

I don't think it's a matter of being down to earth. I think it's a matter of bodies. I don't think GT repeats the same mistakes that UNC did by completely wasting their depth.

Tech lost their leading scorer about a month ago because he was kicked off the team or something or other for the rest of the year (Lewis Clinch) and he was a good outside shooter. Tech is relying on Crittendon a lot and Morrow is really the only outside threat, but he is probably the ACC's best 3-shooter. This game is winnable, but it will be tough on the road. Their team is nearly as young as ours, so we have that going for us too.

like i said, im really worried just because this is one of those crazy athletic teams. they aren't as talented as unc but they are by far more athletic than clemson making them the most athletic team in the conference. because of that some nights they will be below average and some nights they will be one of the best teams in the country. morrows the only really good shooter but young crittenton west can all get hot and dickey and faye are tough inside.

No reason we cant win every game we play here on out. Most of our team has never had a confidence boost like they got from beating Carolina. Doesnt mean we will, but they know they can now, and thats big IMO.

This and @UNC are the two toughest remaining games.

Other than the clemson game, GT has not looked good recently. It's a winnable game, but as said, we're going to have to be really good against the press, and thus far this season, we have been pretty awful. However, we haven't seen a whole lot of pressing since atsur's been back, so with him back in the line up, we may be better at breaking it than we have been. That and keeping up our defensive intensity can win this game.

Considering we had what could probably be described as a near perfect night in almost all aspects of the game, we probably won't be able to match that intensity away against other teams, but wow if our team could find a way to bottle that intensity and confidence without becoming cocky, amazing things could happen. I think our team is finally getting more conditioned being able to play such long minutes in games, it seemed like poor hansblow had to come in and out every other play. And again Atsur is the crucial link in limiting our turnovers and breaking the press that gets used against us so often.

We have gotten fucked by Ferguson.....he was suppossed to make a 3rd guy off the bench with Horner and Nieman. If the game is close, he never plays....see the last 2 games. Hopefully he will improve.

i'm saying that people either think the worst or the best about our team. for example, there is a thread now on us getting votes and people are talking about the NCAA tournament (all because we won saturday).

So, I looked at our schedule. This game could end up being HUGE. I truly think IF we win this game we can finish 8-8. If not it could be anywhere from 4-12 to 7-9. Go 8-8 means our final record is 18-11. WITH big wins...add in a game or 2 to win in the acc tourney and we're in. Either way if we win 2 more games well make the NIT.

People are talking about possible NCAA's because last week has supplied 2 more wins than anyone expected.

And wins (especially big ones) are what leads to NCAA berths. That could be the signature win to get us from the NIT to the NCAA.

This game could go a long way towards determining the rest of the season. The Clemson loss in 04 wasnt so bad because we were making the tourney no matter what that year, although it cost us a chance to play for the ACC regular season title in all honesty. Losing this game will be more devastating to the season because we need this win much more. I just hope Sidney gets the guys turned around in time.

This is going to be a TOUGH TOUGH game, but I have no more expectations for this year.

it's great to have high hopes and be optimistic about what could potentially happen but we really need to just take each game one at a time. If we get to far ahead of ourselves, we'll end up like our football team this year.

Hopefully we'll maintain this same intensity throughout the remainder of our schedule and i think we'll be just fine.
