^The "look busy" really made me think today.

Back in the day, if you weren't producing, people would know. People would straight be like, "Mother fucker only killed one animal while I killed four!!"

But now with our disconnected/connected society, it's easy to "look busy" without producing anything for society...I know everything supposedly goes back into society eventually, but, by the way, I don't think selling cars really matters...yeah, I fucking said it. So yeah, we're screwed...

^ Okay, no bullshit--here's something meaningful: I watched a documentary called Invisible Children tonight in one of my classes. It is about war-torn Uganda and how the children are being starved, abducted, and murdered. It was very difficult to watch.

^Yeah. Carlos, one of the guys who does our lawncare, was kidnapped as a child in El Salvador to become a fighter. This happens to children everywhere...Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe...most people don't care.

I didn't see what the point of the website was. They seem to be taking a new approach to fighting this. Like, they've accepted that the "war" is going to continue so now they're trying to educate the children so that the children can grow up and eventually the war will die out a little more with each generation...?

They kept saying "Peace is closer than ever..." and shit, but I don't get it--is Kony getting old? I'll buy a bracelet so that some kid can get some water or something, but I also wanna buy a bracelet to go towards finishing these LRA bastards. Shit, if the people can't protect them, buy the children guns so that they can protect themselves.

If what I'm reading is true, I hate Uganda. They fight for almost 20 years with their children suffering the most, and then they just stop...Nobody gets punished. I'm not buying a fucking bracelet for that shit.
