Long story short is that my mac laptop had one hell of an encounter with the pavement this past weekend. I was shocked when the thing even turned on but it seemed to bee working fine. Well a yesterday I noticed it wasn't connecting to wireless internet when I knew that the internet was working. Whatever I thougth it was just an isolated incident but now it seems to be selectivley deciding when it does and doesn't want to connect to the internetz. I tryed running the diagnostics on it but it didn't turn up anything.

Anway, question is does it sound logical that there would be something wrong with the airport card sense everything else is working? Anyone have any idea how much this would cost to get fixed if thats the problem? or is it proable that something else is wrong? Is there anything I can do in the mean time? And I know I can take it to the mac store but is somewhere else that may be able to fix it faster/ cheeper?

Any ideas or recommendations would be super helpful, thx!

I'm not sure how the card is installed into an ibook, but it sounds like it may be dislodged.

try a USB wireless adapter, to isolate the problem.
