wow...crazyness. thats some talent. someone should donate some non-rusted parts though

this is much like the thread on the battery powered jeep. Its not a question of why but the fact that they can do this shit and make it look good. Everyone has hobbies.

I think its pretty bad ass since its a lot more beefier then a normal civilian H1. Although, I'd look at getting a beefy engine, but he has that turbo diesel now...

i read pretty much the whole thread and at this point, he basically has 3 grand in it

thats including the f150 donor, the passenger van donor, a chrysler lebaron donor,

f250? donor axle / suspension parts, and miscellaneous crap he's kept or been given.

he doesnt get paid overtime so he's gotten all 1700 lbs. of steel from his work for free

he started in dec 03, had to take a welding class first and he's pretty much 80 - 90%

complete from what i can tell

i tell you what... he doesnt seem to suffer from ADD

i wish i could focus like that

^^not with that front end... it's going to break if he looks at it wrong.

definitely a cool project though.

if you guys like stuff like this, you should go look around http://www.pirate4x4.com . tons of cool home built and professional fabrication over there.

It does seem like one hell of a lot of work, but the total cash outlay (not accounting for the time he's put into it) is pretty low. And the fact that he fabricated the entire body by hand still amazes me.

only if I could get steel for free like that would I be willing to invest time to make some shit like that... that and if I had some skills, I got plenty of time on my hands...

you can get them with titles alot cheaper than that. where's that nigga stone at? he knows some dude in tn that sells them. they used to be really strict about them getting into the public, not so much any more. they were stripped, degreased, and dumped in the ocean for artificial reef projects.

they don't sell full humvee's in the USA because DOT has claimed them as unsafe for civilian use... So what does that tell us about our service men and women driving them? The chassis are cut in half in the US and parts are surplused off.

keep an eye on nc4x4.com. 8 and 12 bolts show up cheap pretty frequently.
