anyone have his old tests?
i have a test coming up and i wanna see what kind of problems he puts on his tests

The problems on the test are almost exactly like the ones you do in class and in the homeworks, or at least they were for my class.

Hong is an awesome teacher, if you have paid attention in class and done the homework, you shouldn't have much trouble with the test. I don't know if he has changed any policies or anything recently, I had him for Calc 3 and he used to do a pretty good review session before the test. All the stuff he reviewed, he put on the test and he didn't throw any BS trick questions like some professors like to do.

yep, had a low B/ high C overall in his class for summer, took his final and ran out of time on last 1/4. Ended up with a fuckin D+

This is true. The final was hard as shit for me, but I just REALLY thought about it and tried to apply the crap he taught us at a larger scale. I must've done something right because I got an A- in the class... I still don't know how to do any of that shit though.

i had the flu during the exam and didnt feel any better during the makeup day. after about 20 minutes of shaking and sweating and trying to concentrate enough to take the exam i just said fuck it and turned it in. he must just makeup grades because i still made a c in that class

but yeah, you really get screwed down the road when you realize that despite doing well in that class you dont know anything about differential equations. you find out that your memorized patterns dont help you when you actually need to know stuff.

Eh, true for the most part. I did remember them well enough to get the differential equations problems correct on the FE Exam.

yeah i could probably still get a diffyq problem right, but when i got to ece331 and vibrations and other classes that used differential equations i had to learn everything again because it required understanding the concepts and not just having material presented to me and following my patterns

awesome teacher. be able to do the problems fast. i guess im pretty slow, only reason i didnt get A+ on every test. pretty easy
