I went there in July for my honeymoon. We spent 1 day in Athens. Unless you are really into history, I don't think you need to spend more than 2 days there. We spent the other 7 days on the Greek island of Santorini. Unbelievable place. Topless beaches (some beaches built into red rocks, others with volcanic sand, you can hike the volcano, etc. etc.).
