I need to cut some molding, only 4 pieces to make a frame. I dont have one down here, and id really rather not have to buy one. It will only be about 10 mins. I know some of you have one, help me out.

Thanks

Take it to Lowes or HD and ask them to cut it for you?

I bought it from there and i figured they could, but they dont cut angles. Plus everytime I've ever had anything cut from there its been off by about 1/8" everytime.

^^ there should be a station next to their radial arm saw where you can cut it yourself, with a handsaw and a miter box

Mine is out of commission due to needing a blade. The last cuts I made with it burnt the end of the piece of wood and there was smoke filling up my shop.

If you don't find what you need I'll let you borrow a mitre box and hand saw if you let me hold something of value (like $20) while you have it. It's one of these:

While we're at it, anyone got a saw that could make a nice cut on a 4" thick butcher block? I need to cut off an ugly end to make a table out of it. I'd bring it to you for the cut...Not trying to borrow anyone's band saw.

hey man i got a $700 dewalt saw at work, it will cut a smiley face for you if you want it to, if you want a clean cut and you got time, i work right past cameron village, swing by and use it all you want

it's probably capable of cutting a 4"x12" board precisely, if not we got table saws, and any kind of tool you'd ever want

SbT....Left you a message. Give me a call if you still need it.

^ The butcher block is probably 4" thick by 32" wide where it needs to be cut. I might have to run it across a table saw on each side and then just sand the end until it looks straight, but I don't have one yet. What do you think?

just run it across a table saw. it has a rip guard that you can set at desired width

blade should be high enough

WMVlad, where do you work?

Our shop is over right next to Cameron Village too, we have a good table saw and a Radial Arm Saw that would make quick work of the butcher block.
