Just thought I'd let you know how much it sucked. And no, I had no expectations. Judging by the trailers I thought it was going to be really cheesy and lame. I was right. I didn't think the CG was gonna be that good though. I guess it had some potential, but the writing was beyond aweful. I could see this movie being awesome for 13 year olds though.

Basically there were no "fights or battles".

Eva Mendes was right though.

ghost rider was the second comic book i ever bought when i was kid

it's a shame

if you've been paying attention over the last 10 years, nicolas cage is a huge comic book fan and has wanted the lead role in nearly every comic book adaptation and never got any of them. ghost rider was one of his favorites, so it doesn't suprise me that he would say yes to any script no matter how terrible it is.

i'll watch it when it comes on hbo

Back when they made the announcement that Nicholas Cage was going to play the part of Ghost Rider my first reaction was... Nicholas Cage? Then I started asking myself, if not him then who? I sided on a no-name actor being best, realized that they would need a decent story if they had a no-name, and concluded that they got a big-name actor for box office draw because they knew it would suck.

It had a lot of cheesy parts (as many comic books do), but I didn't think it was a bad movie. I liked it better than Daredevil and Cage did a pretty good job, IMO.

This movie was great.

I knew it was going to be campy and cheesy going in, and Cage can definately do campy and cheesy so it worked great.

^ I don't think the studios sat this one on the shelf for a few years. I read in an interview that they were working on it up until last month actually.


For the record I didn't pay to see it, and def. won't buy it on DVD. Well, until it hits the $5.00 bin at Walmart...which shouldn't take long at all.
