Hope he enjoys sitting out this season, if he didn't like to practice when he actually could have played, think how much he will like it knowing he has to sit out

everything except self discipline, and sacrifice (if it is discipline related, we dont need that shit on our team no matter what the talent)

he had one big game against a mediocre FSU team. if this was a player who actually had some impact on our team i would be concerned.

son of a bitch! we've been having a shitty run lately of our best receivers leaving the team.

so what was the reason? academics, drugs, transferring, illness...?

It's shame. He's clearly talented and could have turned into a top flight reciever.

All you haters need to realize how young he was.

But, like you guys, if it was discipline related, then so be it.

Geron and his brother are good friends of mine from back home. When i moved back to the dubtown his dad was always questioning why he never got to play. There are some things yall don't know...all I know is TOB is a STRICT man.

He can go hang with Richard Washington and K-Rob. He will be missed though, he was awesome against FSU.

Def not one of our best receivers, he barely played outside of the FSU game. He has great dimensions and speed, but had been a disappointment other than that one game.

mostly because he didnt get a chance to be on the field

when he was out there he was one of the most sure-handed receivers on the team, and he's tall which helped when Evans would just throw the ball up and have the receiver go get it

who's better? darrell blackman. that's it. plus, geron had huuuuuge upside.

^ man, half them bitches haven't even played. we've seen geron's skills and his potential.

there is more to being a receiver than just catching the ball.

^that, and there's more to being a football player on a team than being talented. Give me a scrappy team of hard workers over a team full of mistake prone, selfish, undisciplined T.O.'s anyday.

for example... give me a Jericho Cotchery over a K-Rob any day.

I think Darrell Davis will end up being a stud. Seems like the guy is committed and focused.

Also, if you are a player who doesn't like to practice hard and blow off class, you better be THE guy at your position (T.A.), and we have 2 better receivers I'm sure most would agree with, and Bowens isn't far behind IMO.

Only if it's the Dunlap that actually runs his routes. He was half-assing it by the end of the year.

Geron will be missed on the football field, I don't care what excuses we make up to make it sound like a good thing. The guy has sick talent and great hands. He was only a freshie and already ran some good routes though Stone and Evans barely got the ball near him.

However, according to our only believable source of information about the locker room atmosphere(Red Tom), it had to be done I suppose. Actions speak louder than words.

If the locker room atmosphere has an effect on the football field (if last year didnt prove that to you then nothing will), then this may be a beginning. However, losing a player of that caliber is never a "good" thing.

I also liked him because Geron James is sooooo close to LeBron James......
If he blows up the media will have a field day and the Tshirts will be badass.....

He sucked in practice...but the games chuck actually let him play...he went and did something big in each one...and where do you come off saying one big catch against fsu? i think you forgot about the 2 HUGE catches against bc back to back then not playing at all until that throw to him that game.
