Well, I could be wrong if there was a rule chage since last year. But it was something like "If all cars are on the lead lap, and its the final lap, then no cautions." There was a couple finishes like this last year, concerning the wrecks, and thats how they were called.

actually there could have been a caution and if that were the case then the places would be determined by what position everyone was in when the caution was called...aka if they had called it when the start of that big ass wreck happened then mark would have been the winner.

Yes, I know how a caution works. And they could not have thrown a caution IF they are still using last years rule that I posted above. Places are determined like that for the win when everyone is not on the lead lap, or everyone had not crossed the line for the final lap.

nascar should have flags at the different turns, like in road course racing. so then you can actually take your opponent over before hitting the station that has the flag out. then you got a winner.
