Anyone know of any dealers that offer on-site financing?

Looking for a $1500-2000 car.

I know there used to exist some where they offer cheap cars with a $75/week payment.

Any thoughts?

if you can afford 300 a month, you can get pretty much lease almost every new economy car out there today.

You can get car loans through your bank.

When you calculate it, your usually paying a high (sub-prime) interest rate when you go the onlot financing route. Unless you have poor credit, it would probably be better to get a loan from your bank, or a place like lending tree.

if you absolutely didn't have the cash and definitely needed a car that cheap - i'd put it on a 0% credit card and pay it off ASAP

im just going out on a limb here, but if he's thinking about financing a $2000 car on-site he probably doesnt have a high enough available credit on the credit card(s)

not everyone has $2k cash available, dont feel bad. if you absolutely need it you can go get a loan from your bank.

many dealers will sell you a car for $2000 down, and $300/month payment.

most banks won't finance car models that are over a certain age (like 10 years).

you don't have to get a car loan from the bank to buy a car. you could get a personal loan which would mean a little higher interest rate.

Well, the car is not for me.

It is for my little brother and I want to teach him some responsibility (Pay for his own car).

Back to the subject, know any places?

If you can't figure this out, are you qualified to teach your younger brother anything?

maybe your parents should just get him a cheap car, instead of making him work some shitty job that will keep him from doing well in his schoolwork and getting into a good college

^^all you're doing is teaching him poor financial decisions.

if he absolutely HAS to have a car, there are much better financing options for that amount than doing on site.

^i worked through high school and college, never had any problems. i didn't do great at either school, but it sure as hell wasn't because i had jobs.

If you want to teach him something, teach him to stay away from those places. The "buy here, pay here" lots are not in the car business - they are in the loan business. The fact that they sell cars is incidental.
