Anyone ever shipped tires before? I know you can send them through any regular shipper, but I cant find on UPS website how to do it properly. They want to charge me like its a box and I know there is a different rate for shipping tires.

we had to ship some and ups wouldn't take them...only fedex would. i don't know much more than that, sorry.

I ship all my stuff through the FedEx hub off Hghwy 54 in Durham. You might want to call them up.

i know when you order them from somewhere like tirerack, they bundle 2 together.

dunno if the pricing is the same as a box or if there is a different rate.

thats for shipping tires and wheels. that is, tires that are mounted on wheels. i am just shipping tires.

if they are car tires, use lots of packing tape and tape two together. just say own packaging and enter dimesions and weight.

i've found that for big, heavy things like wheels (and i guess tires), fedex ground is the cheapest

DHL is cheapest for me.
