i saw it last night. i liked it a lot, but i was a history major. it had parts that felt really cheesy, b-movie style, but on a whole, i'd give it a B.

it has a religious theme in that wilberforce wanted to do work for God and found a subject within politics with which he could make a difference. obviously, religious circles will rally behind it as if it were their own.
^its an excellent story, production value aside. i thought the sets and stuff were good, though the filming occasionally had a B movie feel. this guy's story deserves a film though. i'm actually surprised it hadnt been done before. 2/22/2007 11:48:22 PM |

Woo I saw it last night! I liked it..but I agree there were some pretty cheesy parts of the movie that could have easily been cut out and they could have found a smoother transition between years 2/24/2007 3:09:48 PM |
