State added USC when the NCAA approved the 12th regular season game for all schedules. The Tennessee game is still on the schedule as far as I know.
^^^ FYI, Temple backed out of that date when they joined the big east from the Atlantic 10, so they could have a full BIG EAST Schedule, state didn't really have a choice in that matter since we are in the conference that started all the realignment stuff... 2/22/2007 12:26:07 AM |

No, Temple was kicked out of the Big East and joined the MAC.
But yeah, I believe it was postponed so we could play at USC in 2008...not sure if it was actually rescheduled or if is "indefinite".2/22/2007 11:27:16 AM |

i'm still waiting and hoping we play there because I have the hundreds of high school friends to stay with so it'd be an easy road trip for me...
plus after growing up in TN i feel like i should attend a football game there or else I'm kind of missing something...I just hope it's a loss for UT...nothing better than 100,000 people in bright orange crying 2/22/2007 1:33:44 PM |

They have moved the game to 2080!
Na, on a serious note, I would like to go to UT and watch us play. I think we should play more SEC teams. I would like to see the USC tradition continue. UGA would be a good game to go to, although as of now we would get smacked around. 2/22/2007 4:45:55 PM |

I guess it isn't 2010, this article says 2013
Quote : | "NC State Director of Athletics Lee Fowler has confirmed that NC State and the University of South Carolina have reached an agreement with ESPN to play football in 2008 and 2009. The Wolfpack will travel to Columbia on Thursday, August 28, 2008 and the Gamecocks will visit Raleigh on Thursday, September 3, 2009.
The Wolfpack’s previously scheduled 2008 contest at Tennessee has tentatively been moved to an undetermined date in the 2013 season.

Not exactly. Temple swapped the game against us for another Big East team, b/c the Big East allowed them to be eligible for Big East bowl tie-ins that season if they played one more Big East opponent (maybe 5?). Temple was not a Big East team, they just liked to get on their schedule. We got shafted and stuck with the original opponent of Temple's new opponent. I imagine we could have held their feet to the fire on the contract, but maybe we decided a home game would earn more?
