No reason to be blaming the refs for this loss. We had the game in hand and then Frasor missed a wide open lay up that would've put us up by 12. Instead Maryland hits consecutive threes that make it a 4 point game. We also were only 3 for our last 11 from the line. We just blew it.

How do you single out a guy who missed one shot with over 5 minutes to go when you still had a double digit lead after the miss????? Frasor is not a guy who can play 12-15 minutes and do well, he will never flourish as a roll player...I wish we had two McD AA's ON THE BENCH

Um, Pitino won it in 96 with his own players and a very impressive team where I believe 4 were drafted. He also went to the Title game in 97 that went to OT with his own players. Tubby has never been regarded in the same realm as ol Roy, so he doesn't have much to lose if you ask me

My team leader is a UNC grad and stereotypical bandwagon UNC fan. Doesn't give a shit about football (prolly cause they haven't been good), didn't know who was on their team and who they played on any given night during the guthridge years.

And for every loss they have had over the past two years, no one has ever beaten Carolina, or flat outplayed them. It's always something that UNC did that beat themselves.

im honestly surprised by how well he is doing. I didnt think a coach coming from an average depaul team would make virginia improve, but yup i will enjoy it while i can. hopefully him and his success can bring in some good recruits for the next few years.

rymnNgarsnuggles~ I really have begun to envy you. You can take a team who has absolutely sucked ace the last two seasons, didn't even qualify for the big dance, and then go on to have a decent but not great year this year while returning what, 4 starters from last year's team? You're 8-6 in conference, could be 9-7 best case (you aint beatin Duke in Cameron), and you're as ecstatic as if you won the Big Dance. In reality, you won't even be getting a first round bye in Tampa. Real students/alumni/fans of a university are not getting off on a sub 4th place finish in conference, especially with Maryland's talent this season. But apparently you are, I wish I had your blind optimism, but unfortunately, I live in reality. And to top it off, you like to kick a team when they went through a coaching change, lost 2/3 of their starting frontcourt early, and a team that lost their only true ball handler for half the season, and is currently playing 7 scholarship players, 5 of which are underclassmen. Then again, if I were you, I'd get it out now, before Strawberry, Ibekwe and Jones are still playing and able to get you a nice one and done trophy in March. I've never seen a coach (gary) a player (Strawberry) or fans like you get off on such a lackluster accomplishment while returning the nucleus of your team from last year.
