'85 toyota 4runner sr5, hemmoraging oil

how labor intensive is it to change?

or

what would / should it cost to have done? (ballpark)

Tranny/transfer case have to come out to change it.

I'd bank a minimum 6 labor hours, and most likely more, to have it done. May as well do the clutch while you're at it, because the clutch and the flywheel have to come out to do it.

Better have deep pockets or deal with the oil leak.

clutch still has good life on it at this point

anything else i should have done? water pump?

i would still do the clutch and all related parts anyway. if it's really in that great of shape,then sell it off for a few bucks.

wouldn't hurt to do the transmission mount and all 4 driveshaft u joints also since they'll be out. water pump isn't related, don't worry about it.

i can't remember if those blocks have a freeze plug or not back there. if they do, change it.
