Recently, my 27" CRT Sony Trinitron (model KV-27S42 chassis #BA-4D) just died. It was working fine and didn't have any signs but stopped working all of a sudden. I've researched a little and found that Sony tv's have a self diagnosis tool that blinks the front light a certain amount of times to indicate what type of problem it is experiencing.

I get 2 blinks, meaning "B+ over current protection (OCP) , unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the circuits."

Does anyone have experience repairing televisions? Any idea/clues how much something like this would cost? Is it worth it to fix?

Thanks for your help,
Jonathan
