I got bored and painted my wheels black. I sanded them a bit then primered and put a couple coats of semi-flat on. Is there something i can spray over this to protect the paint that wont make it look really glossy?

use some semi gloss black.

then if you see a chip, or scratch. shoot some more paint on it

Thats what i used on my rims, this picture was taken about 2 years after they were originally painted so its pretty durable it you do it right.
