My post from the other thread

Quote :
"Maybe Denver has decided that with Champ on one corner and Bly on the other, they pretty much will shut down the passing game and can focus their game planning on blitz packages and stopping the run. I really don't know. Tatum Bell was never going to pan out in Denver anyway because of his inconsistency and Denver breeds lineman so maybe Foster was expendable. I do think this is a decent deal for the Lions, especially with Kevin Jones's unclear future."

Trent Green would be a fool to go there. Stay in KC and win your job.

Dallas should spend some money on Thomas or Porter. Their run D was horrible last year.

picking up Bly was a pretty good move

hes got to be better right now that Darrent williams right?

^ yeah Porter comes from a 3-4 so Dallas could work for them both

and Pitt is switching gradually from a 3-4 to the 4-3

Plummer gets traded to the Bucs for a 4th-rounder, but decides to retire instead.

Trade nullified.

The Chargers never go after high-priced free agents.

They'll prolly sign a guy like Kevin Curtis or get a reciever in the draft.

There are a shit-ton of recievers in this draft.

^^why would they cut one aging receiver (mccardell) for another (horn).

^curtis would be a stellar pickup.

Bills signed Derrick Dockery to a 7-year, $49 million deal

when even the skins won't pay that much to keep their own player, you know you overpaid

in other skins news, supposedly london fletcher and smooooot (he back) are set to sign with the skins

Reports are that D. Stallworth has been admitted to the NFL substance abuse program.

now, if this was a failed test, or putting himself in, dont know yet

but it'll be interesting to see how this affects his potential contract.

the eagles sure as hell werent going to offer what some other teams were going to offer (49ers way up there), i wonder if this drops his stock low enough such that the eagles may go after him

^ wow, thats going to kill a lot of people back home... everyone assumed the Titans were doing an release and then resign with a new deal type thing with him, he was a big time fan favorite. I think he will be perfect for Denver's running scheme, he isnt a cutting/juke guy, just a little bowling ball rolling straight downhill as soon as he can... should fit perfect. Are they STILL going after McGahee after this?

^because they artifically increase the value of RB's. why not load up with mediocre players, make them look bad ass, then trade 2 for 1st or 2nd round talent?

They didn't get along so well in Buffalo

^^picking up a first rounder is a "mediocre" player?

^ yeah hhahaha, thats what I was thinking, of course now I wonder if McGahee might end up with the Titans... Brown and Henry are gone, and everything I read back home sounded like they werent too impressed with White this year

^no, but none of the others on the team at the time came high (i believe)....pretty much every off season Denver will trade a RB (that looks really good b/c of their blocking the year(s) before) for another starter (usually d). then they load up and do it again.
