Quote :
"Winner for most unusual piece of development this pilot season goes to ABC, which has turned a series of quirky Geico commercials into an actual half-hour comedy project.

"Cavemen" will revolve around three pre-historic men who must battle prejudice as they attempt to live as normal thirtysomethings in modern Atlanta.

Project, from ABC TV Studio, is penned by Joe Lawson, an advertising copywriter who was behind the "Caveman" ads -- as well as other Geico commercials (think the cockney-speaking Geico gecko, and the reality TV spoof "Tiny House")."

No, it'll make it--it's a caveman cop show--with a couple caveman lawyers and doctors, too. Yeah, that's the ticket (sarcasm).

I do like the commercials, though.

I'm pretty sure this will suck ass. A 30 second commercial might be hilarious but definitely not enough to sustain several episodes. How could you possibly reinvent this shit week after week? ABC must be hard up for material or something.

This theme has already been done back in the stone age (er, the days of black-and-white TVs): http://www.tvobscurities.com/articles/itsabouttime.php

SNL used to have a skit called Bear City or something like that

anyways, it was bears acting like humans except they were bears and you couldn't understand them b/c they were bears, but they had normal people jobs

if anything should be a 30 min sitcom, that's it

it was hilarious
