I love the White Stripes, but I fucking love Prince, on the last album he basically did his version of Prince the entire album outside of 2 tracks, wasnt my favorite but still pretty good.

apparently, the radio DJ played the album, Jack White got pissed and called and yelled at her and is now threatening lawsuits to the radio station and bloggers who post the album. That's just what I gathered from every msg board on the internet.

I've never been a fan of leaking shit early, and I don't think playing the entire album was a good idea. You get an advance copy, sure, play a non-single to give people a taste. But don't play the entire thing over the air and give the entire bootlegging world a free pass.

With that said, I wouldn't fly off the handle if it happened to me, either.

nah, man.... it's not your internet as much as it is several thousand people all over that link right now, I think.

It took me about 7 to 10 times longer to d/l it than it usually does.

I liked "Prickly Thorn....", "I'm slowly turning into you", and "A martyr for my love for you" ---- those three were really great.

But, of the 13 tracks, and only one listen, I'm going to say 3 are very solid, 3 are above average and the rest just sound like b-sides for any other Stripes album. I'm ready for some originality, Jack. Something different. Those three I really liked probably sound the least like what you're used to getting with the White Stripes.

Either way, it's too early for me to judge---I normally have to listen to something a few times to form a good opinion about it, and sometimes I end up loving albums that I hated initially, so I'm not giving up hope yet.
