So, after +55 years someone finally thought to do that.
I was more surprised that one of the co-creators is still alive - at 93 years old. 3/7/2007 11:51:18 AM |

I just had one of my comic nerd friends tell me it was in a series that's an alternate universe anyway. He said it's no big deal. He also told me there was a punisher comic where all the super heros die and that it's hardly the first time he's been killed. It's got to be a slow news day when comic book developments are leading the news. 3/7/2007 12:11:57 PM |

I think he's avoided sniper bullets before.
He was probably too demoralized to get out the way. 3/7/2007 5:02:31 PM |

Yeah I was just saying this yesterday: --- "Also I like this quote from a guy who did alot with Civil War, Ultimate X-Men, & the Authority.
Quote : | "After the publication of Civil War #7, Mark Millar was interviewed by Newsarama and described the event as "a story where a guy wrapped in the American flag is in chains as the people swap freedom for security", agreeing that a "certain amount of political allegory" was present but that the real focus of the book was on superheroes fighting each other. Contrasting it with The Ultimates, Millar stated that Civil War was "accidentally political because I just can't help myself"." | " ---
I think this was on the front page of CNN's site today too.3/7/2007 6:34:21 PM |

I wonder if someone new takes up the cap outfit, if they will start from such an unexpected background.
I half expect spiderman to get over his new emo-black outfit and take up the cap america outfit when he's ready to go back to his red/blue, since they were teamed up as avengers and on the same side of the civil war. If the fantastic four can be thing, human torch, black panther, and storm, then anything is possible.3/8/2007 12:33:49 AM |
