I started it yesterday, heard a bang, like a backfire from the engine area, and now my car sounds like the flubber machine. The engine shakes back and forth such that the whole car shakes and when I turn the car off I can hear a noise coming from the engine area that sounds like pressure escaping.
Any ideas? 3/15/2007 9:10:33 AM |

sounds like the distributor chain and valve guide bearings are shot. common problem with the proteges. parts might be like $200, labor another $100. good luck. 3/15/2007 10:19:54 AM |

That sounds like a bunch of assfaggotry malarkey right there.
Sure a plug blowing out of an engine might cost that much...if they took the whole goddamn engine apart to fix it. Or maybe 2/3 of that if they just yanked the head.
Somebody got fucked without gettin' a kiss...
Seriously, on a car that age, I would have shot a Helicoil in there with the head still on...provided I could get the tap in the hole far enough and I could get the insert tool in there properly. I'd have greased the hell out of the tap and made multiple trips.3/15/2007 7:40:47 PM |
