only problem w/ just saying ooooooooooo when on D, is that too many times it is passionless. But as long as we keep the energy amped up, and every student there is screaming OOOOOOOO, then it could sound like it should.


I might cry if the crowd starts to die out at any point.... this is it... our last and unexpected home game and it is in a Sold Out Reynolds. There is no room for half-assing it at any point.

its "passionless" when there are 4 people doing it. Its easier to go OOOOOOO than scream sentences for a long time without risk of embarassing yourself, so discouraging people to do that is retarded. You should be encouraging everyone in the stadium to make whatever noise possible, whether its OOOOOOOOO, yelling, clapping, stomping, whatever. Noise is noise.

anyone who lined up for tickets early enough to get them isnt going to half ass it tomorrow. Half assing it comes when you get people signing up for tickets willy nilly online and deciding at the last minute to go sit sideline to socialize while the real fans are stuck at home or in 300 level seats.


There will be nobody at this game that isnt interested in cheering loud.

I camped out last night for my ticket. In the tent next to my tent was a couple of dumbass guys who kept saying our team sucks, the NIT sucks, Lowe sucks, and couldnt name 2 players on the team. they were only there to drink and campout w/ the 2 girls they came with (note the 2 girls actually seemed to care and seemed like passionate fans)

...it made me thinking of those who would actually care. This is also a unique case. I'm sure 99% of the people who camped out are diehard fans

I know of atleast one girl in the front of the line who got called out for rooting for UNC when we played them

Well when I got to State back in 2002, we did the long form with the band where we would rock back and forth, which is what the band does in timeouts. More of the students used to do it. Now not many do it. I've never understood why. It would look so awesome at our basketball and football games to have the entire student section chanting that while rocking forward and backward. Also during my first 2 or so years we had a faster form of the "Nnnn Ceee Staaaate, N. C. State" chant where we would hold up the wolf sign and pump it like a fist to the cadence of it.


Note all of the students in the end seats need to stomp and jump up and down, since those stands are aluminum and can resonate sound. Trust me one person stomping real hard is about the equivalent of 5 people yelling. So if you get people yelling, stomping, and shaking their keys/clapping at the same time you're gonna have an extremely loud crowd.

yeah. we knew how to cheer. these new kids suck.

and the reynolds bleachers are definitely loud as fuck. if everyone stomped in rhythm, it'd be almost deafening.
