is there a way to save the page margins within a specific document so that when it's opened in Word on another machine it goes by the document-set margins and not the program-set margins?

it seems there should be but i dunno where to find that option

If you customize the page characteristics for a specific document in word, it should stay the same reguardless of where you open it. A new page is a different story though.

dude however you save your document, it will open exactly the same on any other machine, including margins, fonts, colors, sizes, etc.

that's why it is called microsoft word, and not notepad.

it'll only change your margins if they are outside the printable area on the current printer and you GO TO PRINT IT. and even then, it asks you first.

other than that, it won't change what you have.

print to PDF if you just want people to view it the same way you're viewing it though
