Just listen to it. God-damn the internet is awsome.

The album is different than anything they've done before. Still growing on me, but I dig it already.

Interestingly, I just typed in to google; Given to the rising torrent
And I found a few different links to the torrent.

About the album; I dig it, but not as much as through silver in blood, times of grace, a sun that never sets, and the eye of every storm.

Yeah! Sovereign is excellent. Actually, I think the sound on the new one is a cross between Sovereign and the Eye of Every Storm.

i actually prefer the other big hitters (pelican/isis/mouth of the architect) to neurosis...i actually like giant better as well, speaking of worship bands...however, you must listen to irreversible...their 1st ep "age" is one of my favorite releases in a long time and the recording quality isn't that great...there are a lot of parallels to the movie by the same name...they are extremely young (early 20's) as well and only play local shows as of now

I dig Isis and Pelican aswell. But their lyrical content, and album themes aren't nearly as profound as Neurosis' is. Don't get me wrong, I'm really into Isis, Pelican, aswell as Red Sparowes. But without Neurosis, there would be no Isis or Pelican.

I'm friends with the dudes in Giant. Actually I had just finished a conversation with one of the guys(Zack the drummer) about the new Neurosis album right before creating the thread. He cited the Eye of Every Storm as the most influential record, musically speaking, in his life.

That Irriversible sounds pretty good. Especially for how young they are. Thanks! I'll be sure an check em out.

i can't get into pelican or isis, especially nowadays. i used to be into both, but now i feel they've gotten dreadfully boring. as far as giant, i saw them once and thought they listened to too much pelican and isis. all those old metalcore dudes are either jocking isis or boris now anyway. mouth of the architect is pretty cool, but their drummer hits like he just chugged a gallon of weak sauce. this ain't rune, baby. you're expected to hit hard.

as far as the newer neuroworship, unearthly trance is pretty fucking good.
