i had him for hi 300 a while back, he's an alamo expert so read up on the alamo and watch the john wayne movie and it'll be very easy to get him off track every day.
he's really entertaining and nice. but make sure you know your stuff if you speak up in class or he'll call you out when you're wrong, but then commend you for your effort.
good prof, don't know about the course i got transfer credit.

I have Medieval history with Pumphery. She is such a fun teacher and makes the learning fun. She only has like 5 assignments. 2 papers, a map quiz of Europe, and the Midterm and Final. Her test are very open ended as long as you write one way or the other you get credit. I'd recommend the class.

Not sure if it is offered in first summer session, but last semester I took HI 322 with Dr. Kimler. Not necessarily easy course material, but Dr. Kimler made it easy. He was a really good professor and although there weren't many actual assignments (2 tests, 2 essays for the entire semester. Final was optional for a better grade.) he still made the material interesting. I would highly recommend it.

The ancient history classes ncsu offers like HI 207 were usually pretty interesting without being difficult. If you see anything with Dr Parker, Sack, or Detriville(sp) then it should be alright.

I got a religion req filled by taking greek mythology with Dr Packman, and that was my fav class I had a state. But I think its probably spring only.

Anything with Dr Jesseph would be great for philosophy. Being a philosophy major I found a lot of ncsu’s phi classes were fun.
