probably doesn't deserve his own thread but he was my favorite college ball player to watch in the past decade. He isn't terribly athletic and he isn't terribly talented. But the guy knew when to pick his spots, played balls to the wall all game every game, and was the most clutch guy I've seen consistently in a long time (of course Laettner was the most clutch I've EVER seen).

It sucks his career had to end on that bad mark...

i think the refs did the clock thing correctly. The ball was touched by the memphis player, hit inbounds, then bounced and wasnt considered out of bounds until it hit something out of bounds, EASILY taking 1.1 seconds

I also will miss him. When I think of TAMU hoops right now, I think of Acie first, then Gillispie. That will change of course, but you know he's a special player if his persona has overshadowed Gillispie's brilliant resurrection of this program from the dead.
