Surprised there's not a thread about this already, but there's a new 23 track Redman album dropping on Tuesday (3/27)
I've heard 'Gimme One', 'Walk in Gutta', and 'Put it Down' and they are all hot. I know some of you out there "magically" already have to album, so I wanna know what you think of it 3/25/2007 8:59:02 PM |

so nice hearing another chapter of the soopaman lova. always some gangsta soul samples on 'em.
"blowin' treez" might be my favorite song. redman and method man rappin' about weed is always a good time. 3/29/2007 1:53:51 PM |

Maybe when he was in his early 20s. Seriously, why does it take so long to come out with albums when they all follow the same formula? I mean, didn't How to roll a blunt come out in '92?3/29/2007 2:19:27 PM |

I've given it a couple listens over, here at the house and riding around, and my top 5 tracks are (in random order):
1. Put it down 2. Gimme one 3. Walk in gutta 4. Rite now 5. Pimp nutz
I agree it's good to hear Redman's voice again (same goes for the rest of Def Squad and Saukrates). The production on the album was hit or miss for me, some of the beats were good, others sound like something a 3rd grader made on his keyboard .
I was really hoping that the tracks with Method Man and Snoop Dogg would be better, but I'm not really a big fan of either. 3/29/2007 8:23:05 PM |
