Heh I'm a Cornelia Marie and Rollo fan. Phil is brutally honest and Eric and the Rollo crew are the nontraditionalist, nonconformist type of fishermen. I always refer to the Rollo as the Hippie boat.

they get paid very well relative to the amount of time they work and the level of danger of the job.

is it top management money? no, enough for the year? doubt it. but still a lot for a month (longer if they do opilio and king) of work

Last year the crew take home was between 10k and 26k depending on which boat they were on. Except the NorthWestern crew took home 45k because of the 15k for the cod they caught.

i, too, am a huge fan of deadliest catch. don't know why, but I love it. and the reruns of the second season, yeah, I've been watching them... all of them... and I never get bored.
northwestern is my fav, and I'm looking forward to the new greenhorn captain on the mavrk. but where did the rollo go??

if I remember right, the rollo was one of the smaller boats. I am pretty sure with the new quota system, the smaller boats are having a hard time.


I am surprised Rick still gave the captain seat to Blake given the way he was such a bitch about not getting it last season.
