the computer (athlon 64 fx 939, abit at8 mobo) suddenly stopped working and the postcode stays at 8.7. (check cpu voltage) and cannot boot.

I guess before calling AMD for warranty I need to make sure that it's the cpu's problem. Does anyone here have this cpu (or similar) so I can test it on your platform? thanks!

I measured the voltage of the 12V power supply plug right next to the cpu (not fan, ATX12V1. when I built the computer I forgot to plug it in and got the 8.7. postcode), and it's exactly 12V after pressing the power button.
