what if al quaeda employs people to work in food places like peanut butter and lettuce to put e coli in- if they did that on a yearly basis that would get anoying with all the money the companies would spend in marketing to fix thier image, along with the fact that these would look like average citizens so it'd be hard to figure out where the ecoli came from 3/30/2007 9:02:15 PM |

you know what has really amazed me?
you see oversees all the bombings in public markets and malls and stuff
i'm really curious as to why they haven't been doing that here?
i mean all the malls we have, all the super markers, the busy sectors in downtown cities. i mean all they would need would be their little backpack c4 shit
i'd like to think that it's the great job our govt does of keeping those faggots out of the country. and i'm sure that that's a large part of it, but still, wouldn't that strike more "terror" ? 3/30/2007 10:44:36 PM |

As for as the e coli... it's not effectively terrorism in that it doesn't really terroroze or disrupt and no one knows it's you, so there's no point.

Quote : | " Pet Food Recall: Chinese Deny Blame In Poisoned Pet Cat & Dog Food By Mitch Marconi Apr 4, 2007 Pet Food Recall - In its first official statement regarding the Menu Foods pet food recall of cat and dog food, apparently poisoned by tainted wheat gluten purchased from a Chinese firm, Chinese officials are denying blame.
"The poisoning of American pets has nothing to do with China," said a report in the official People's Daily website.
Officials said an initial investigation by the Chinese government determined that China had not exported tainted pet food ingredients to the USA and Canada; however, officials say they are cooperating with the investigation.
There are approximately 60 million cans of dog and cat food on recall, and this, along with the deaths of potentially hundreds of beloved pets, has sent the pet food industry reeling, and ignited renewed concern regarding human food safety." |
ok this is what i think: a)china is doing shady shit b)us is trying to do some shady to get public opinion bad about china and will try to do more protectionist type stuff

Simple. Either the threat is exaggerated or homeland security is doing something correct (hahaha). The historical probability of foreign terror on US soil was extremely low before a certain event, and it's not surprising that it's the same afterwards.4/6/2007 1:06:36 AM |

If they really want to bring this country to a halt they should quit focusing on bombs and simply do their best to expand the powers of the Department of Transportation... I swear we don't know what the fuck we are doing. 4/13/2007 12:23:40 AM |

Well, al qaeda has more to gain from keeping their assets and members overseas. They're closer to our crippling national interests (oil), and they can get political victories out of things like beheading journalists and destabilizing countries that don't support them. They can put more fear into the people in those countries overseas that cooperate with us and cause us to lose more support abroad with the general public (think about it, if we were a tiny country and 300 people were killed in carbomb attacks every time a foreign national from a major power visited, we just might want that country to stop visiting so we can live our lives without worrying about being killed in a carbomb attack).
If they came over here and started blowing up our malls and public places, all they would end up creating is a REAL fortress America, one with a bloodlust that caused us to rain hell down upon Al Qaeda (and their civilian supporters). The government could easily turn terrorist bombings in the US into reasons for more laws and security against its own citizens, while pushing towards a more militarized agenda and using propaganda to destroy and dominate any region they feel like designating as an Al Qaeda hot spot. They don't want us to become more powerful with a series of high-visibility attacks in suburban shopping malls, they want to weedle down our support for our government at home while attacking some of the major symbols of our way of life to fuck up our economy and attack our belief system.
Think about what would happen if 9/11 was directed at 1000 shopping centers across the country, killing more people and causing more widespread damage than the destruction of the world trade center, with just as much economic impact (let's say it closes down all malls for a month and sales don't recover for years). That wouldn't have half the symbolic value that the world trade center had (not to mention the pentagon and other symbols).
The daily carbombs and beheadings are good for making people sick of seeing war on the evening news. The major attacks against our symbolic interests at home and abroad are good for screwing with our heads and making us question our actions. All daily carbombs here would do is make people sell their freedoms for security as our government killed hundreds of thousands of people in a big show of effort to show us sticking it to terrorists.
Okay, I realize that's definitely a far-fetched Orwellian rant, but I'm sure there's a valid point or two in there somewhere. 4/13/2007 1:31:45 AM |

You know, when the e. coli panic occurred back when, I wondered to myself how many people stopped at McDonald's on the way home from the grocery store where they had passed up spinach in the produce aisle?
I mean, seriously we fatten ourselves into oblivion and worry about a bug that killed less than a dozen people. I don't mean to trivialize their deaths, I'm just saying that in comparison . . . 8/1/2007 10:33:48 PM |
