I love Bill Maher. He's a little too much of a dick sometimes, but I really love the roundtable discussions he has.

Quotation of the week:

D.L. Hughley: "Well, I'm just glad they fought the Civil War."

I like watching the Overtime discussions they post online, too.

Maher can definitely be funny. My problem with him is that (1) he starts a serious discussion, but when his ass gets in a sling, he jumps back over to comedian mode--committing all sorts of fallacies of logic. (2) He also strikes me as someone who is bitter because he was picked on as a kid. And (3) he still can't get off Bill Clinton's cock.

haven't watched in a while

but the new rules part was great

the discussions would be better if he didn't bring on so many actors

He's not so much on Bill Clinton's "cock" as he dislikes the current administration.

^ So, Maher's a little on Clinton's cock? Sounds like the old "just the tip" trick to me.

Ben Affleck made this show even crazier last week than Bill Maher ever did.

yep, Ron Paul's a good dude

P.J. O'Rourke was at the table, too.

They're my kind of libertarians--the right-leaning kind (or as O'Rourke says, "Republican Reptiles")

Mos Def made some good points but to me he comes off as just a little racist. The Jena 6 is a stereotypical small southern town stuck in the old Jim Crow south.

I like watching Bill's show even though I fancy myself as a fiscal conservative. I hate that his audience is so close minded to anything outside of liberal causes though. Bill tries to play ringmaster so when his guests like this week too very liberal black men, he tried to be the voice from the right even though he failed.

Mos Def made some good points? Maybe one or two, but everything else he said was nothing more than drivel. It was actually embarrassing how ignorant he was.

I don't know why, but this past April 5th episode cracked me up throughout.

Here's a clip, not necessarily hilarious:

Steve Moore seems to be dumb as a brick. It boggles my mind how he has a job.
