Thoughts on taking this course over summer? It is only available in a 5 week session as well; Online or with Parish.

its not too bad if youre physics minded or planning to go into some sort of engineering. My philiosophy was to take the really hard classes over the summer because it does force you to look at it everyday like ^ said.

So if you have a harder class you can take id do that. Otherwise, go for it.

Statics is a breeze compared to some of the courses you will end up taking in your junior/senior year.

I like Parish. He's a good guy and is definately willing to help you out both inside and outside of class. I had him for statics and he's definately tough, but you'll know your shit after. I also had him for soils, he was hard as a bitch for that.

thats cause soils is his thing.

yea take him for statics...he's a great guy and he won't let you fail if you show him you are putting forth the effort.

statics is a big course though...pretty much the foundation for EVERYTHING else you'll be doing in CE

Parish, if you cant learn it with him, you'd best switch out. Tough cookie but you'll know your shit afterwards.
