1990 plymouth laser rs. This is the 2.0t (4g63)motor with the 6 bolt. The car has a brand new interstate battery, alternator, starter. also has a newish clutch and new front hawk brake pads and rotors. only problem with it is that it leaks a little bit of oil and the passenger window does not work. as well as the passenger mirror is broken.
Exterior: has some minor paint fade but the body is in great shape. all lights work and no big dents or dings
Interior: great shape. 1 small rip in driver seat from getting in and out of car. rest of it is great. has factory radio that works and
at $1200 this car will not last long. it is turbo charged and very quick. so act fast. Buy this car and instantly beat mustangs and camaros. you can contact WILL at 919-995-3020 day or night 4/4/2007 7:50:30 PM |

^^^ not even the v6 camaros (maybe stangs), the 2wd eclipse/talon/laser were slow no matter what, now the 4wd GSX on the other hand had some speed to it 4/4/2007 10:21:42 PM |

ha, '91 laser was my first car.
I loved that thing. Then dad called me during my freshmen year to tell me my car no longer works but that I now owned a mustang and owe him 350/mo 4/4/2007 10:44:28 PM |

nvmd, i thought he implied "if it was a v6 talon" and there was no such thing. 4/4/2007 10:54:31 PM |

i had a '01 ford zx2 (130hp stock) with just an underdrive pulley, airbox modification, and a manual transmission that could beat a stock automatic '98 mustang gt from stop light to stop light. no lie. so, i could see the laser beating a '94-'98 mustang gt, but there is no way in hell it'll beat a '99+ mustang gt or a lt1/ls1 camaro.

my 91 fwd with just basic free mods and bolt ons ran mid-high 13's in the quarter, and that was with very limited traction.

that doesn't make any damn sense. they're the exact same engine/drivetrain, one just has a transfer case and a rear differential. in fact, from a roll fwd's are a little quicker being lighter.4/4/2007 11:40:49 PM |

ha.
the AWD version of the car could fairly easily be modified to run high 12s, and very easily be modified to run low-mid 13s. Even in stock form (and at stock boost levels, of course), I think they'd run high 14s, which I think would be on par with the Z28s and GTs of the day...maybe quicker than some.
for a couple hundred bucks, I know you could easily make it outrun the Z28s and GTs of the day, and some of later years, probably.4/17/2007 9:59:56 AM |
