my opinion is that it was kindof a dick move to leave idaho so soon, but i can hardly blame him. asu is a pretty big step up.

well anyway....ASU spent $25,000 to make a marketing video for him, http://www.asuathleticsmarketing.com/newcoach and my friend who works in the UofA athletic department asked me to do some sort of spoof...so I did....and he seems like a real POS.... anyway, here's the video I made....not bad considering I don't know jack shit about flash

I KNOW who dennis erickson is...he started off as a starter, then moved to reliever...got inducted to the baseball hall of fame like a year or 3 ago

played for the athletics and cardinals, among others...

I met him back when he was coaching at Miami. Nice enough guy, but had alot of trouble controlling the program. Most of the Luther Campbell- Miami stuff happened when he was the coach at Miami.

The bowl game against Texas where Miami got 202 yard in penalties is the most one sided bowl game I've ever seen. If you win 46-3 and have that many peanlties, something is going right for you that day.

He is a brilliant X's and O's coach.

Horrible leader and very problematic.

With the talent he had at Miami- from Gino Torretta, Craig Erickson, Randal Hill, Michael Barrow, Sapp ect... he should have won twice as many championships he did. He rode a lot on the momentum that Jimmy Johnson left at Miami- and the coaching staff Jimmy Johnson built.... Ed Orgeron, Tommy Tuberville, etc...

If you talk to any die-hard Miami Hurricanes fan down here, they will not talk too highly of Dennis "Pink" Erickson. He basically ruined the program and its image from his less-than-ethical practice in scholarships and his lack of control. Miami had always displayed bravado and swagger, but it turned straight up thuggish when Erickson was here. When players would get into trouble, he blamed campus officials and faculty. He also had a drinking problem. It is rumored that he was drunk on the sidelines of a few games.

He also scheduled some cupcakes outside of the already soft Big East line-up in his last few years.... The teams he coached were not getting better year to year. Juxtaposed with those schedules from previous years under Jimmy Johnson and Schellenberger with that "we'll play anyone, anywhere, anytime" attitude.
