I need some kinda of electronic voodoo-type priest to come and cleanse my computers of evil spirits. I'm pretty sure it's a lava-demon of some sort causing heating issues and so a new case and thermal paste is on the way....

But until then maybe can i get someone with a chicken's head on a stick to help me out? I think i've exhausted all other possibilities.

I can't think of anything else that would cause such sporadic usability.... I've tried a billion different drivers/driver combinations.... and these same drivers were working perfectly before I had one hard drive fail that has since been taken out....

It kinda amuses me that BOTH of my amd x62 dual core proessor computers are possessed.... Turion AND Athlon

current uptime record: 3 hours....

I cleaned out the case with a can of air and tidied up my cords..... blew the easter bunny out of my geforce and now it's been doing well.....

with x64 windows xp lol.

Funny how i couldnt get gentoo to work with my config (without more effort than I was willing to put forth on a machine that froze every few minutes or whenever it felt like it) but x64 windows came through...

bought x64 windows with the computer a year ago so I could have 64 bit power but it took until basically today for me to get it stable with a 64 bit operating system... and this is just 3 hours stable. Last time it worked great until burning crusade...

oh and if anyone wants some free hardware (i'm tired of my roommate taking everything from me) you can have a 17 inch CRT and a computer case (sans fans..i'm stealing those pinky lighty bitches lol)

Yeah it's a ViewSonic PerfectFlat A70f.... but let me warn you... it's brightness it's pushed to the max and I still have to up the gamma AND brightness on my geforce card....which is why i'm junking it. My roommate takes my broken stuff and makes it work but sometimes i just dont care and newegg is doing a great buy on a monitor lol

Oh and i'm up to 6 hours uptime!!! Can't wait for me to install BC and die. Come to think of it....it was probably my geforce overheating..... interesting...

Well i want to make one of my computers Gentoo x64, one WinXP x64, and a need a mac of some sort with tiger... i feel the need to play.

OH and my computer has pink girly led's on it's fans.... (they're supposed to be red but they're pink) so either it's a gay dude or a girl.

Tried any Linux'es other than Gentoo? Gentoo is great if you're 1) incredibly smart/nerdy enough to configure around the 10^2936014 things that will inevitably go wrong OR 2) you're just a glutton for punishment.

Hmmm tried red hat, mandrake, slackware, ubuntu..... uhhhh ... fedora 4.... plain debian....

out of them i prefer gentoo. Basically I like linux because it takes me time to fix things... it... gives me something to do i guess. If everything worked automatically it wouldnt as fun.... Except then I'd probably make it my main os and kick windows off the end of the world.
