i used it, its a pita for audio and it compresses the shit out of video

I used it, it sucks up an assload of resources on the server even when no clients are connected. I think it caused a few other software conflicts on my server as well. If you don't mind big gaps between your songs then it's ok for streaming music, but I couldn't imagine using it to stream video over any 'standard' broadband connection.

Version 2.0 is full of bugs. Version 1 is usable and even pretty good, but there is a real resource issue. I had version 2 on my media center PC and it crashes all the time.
