Does anyone even know what that word is?
And why would this be the case?

pussy-whipped
but actually,

so, "andr" plus "misos" = the word, if it is even a word

By the way, the equivalent is a misandrist. 4/10/2007 7:24:54 PM |

why would what be the case? a woman who hates all men/men in general?
i see 2 cases:
1) a woman who has suffered a lot in life at the hands of men. raped/molested by father/uncle as a child, then maybe raped as an adult, etc. she will never be able to trust men, or form meaningful relationships with them.
2) a raging butch feminist.4/11/2007 4:00:46 AM |

anyhow, wouldnt the opposite of misogynist be a philandrist?
hater of women <-- opposites --> lover of men
and would that somehow be a paradox, since the opposing states could (apparently) easily coexist in the same person? 4/11/2007 6:10:47 AM |

^ Actually the opposite would be lover of women. You are taking the entire phrase and switching all words when the subject of the sentence if applied to you would be "I love women". It would then be "I hate women". English language isn't like math 4/11/2007 6:38:31 AM |

You misunderstood what I meant. Why is it the case that EVERYONE in society knows the word "misogynistic," which means to hate women, but that NO ONE in society knows the word that means to hate men?4/11/2007 12:36:00 PM |

Probably because males have been the dominant sex all throughout history, there aren't tons of songs written about men as sexual objects, wives are beaten far more often than husbands, and so on. 4/11/2007 1:00:59 PM |
