i know there are, from time to time, threads about messaging clients, and while i think AIM is the most popular, triton (AIM6) for a long time pissed me off with its insane amount of bloating

enter AIM Lite (http://x.aim.com/laim/)...installed it's only ~6mb, and comes default with logging (a huge feature that was missing for such a long time)...you add anything else you want through javascript plugins

for those using AIM6 who are pissed off with it, here's the DL for the full 6.1.32.1 and correct ad hack:
