This summer, Umphrey’s McGee and the Disco Biscuits will be joining forces for a co-headlining summer run of shows. The uniting of the two clans, subtly dubbed D.U.M.B. (Disco Umphrey’s McGee Biscuits) will be sharing the stage at some great outdoor venues, both bands playing full shows each night. The summer affair between the two bands will start in the southeast in Charlottesville, Virginia at the Charlottesville Amphitheatre on Wednesday, June 27th. The D.U.M.B posse will continue on to Portsmouth, Virginia at the NTELOS Wireless Pavilion on Thursday, June 28th; the Lincoln Theatre Street Stage in Raleigh, North Carolina on Friday, June 29th; and the Masquerade Music Park in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, June 30th.

Although playing an equal number of sets at each show, the bands will take turns each night closing. In order to figure out who will close the last show on Sunday, July 1st at the Pompano Beach Amphitheatre in Pompano Beach, Florida, there will be a pre-show poker game between members of each band on stage at the four preceding shows -- the winner of this poker game will play the closing set in Pompano Beach. So make sure to get to the shows early to catch the poker madness! Tickets for all five southeast shows will go on sale via Umphrey's Ticketing and Disco Biscuits Ticketing at 4:20 pm EST Friday, April 13th with general ticket on sale Friday, April 20th at 4:20 pm EST.

no word on what the afterparty is, but it could be a number of things from braindead eggman (pink floyd/beatles cover band with members from both bands) to tractorbeam (rumored to be the 2.0 perfume) to conspirator (biscuits side project).

ive never heard of the street state at lincoln...is that something new?

ps. D.U.M.B. has to be the dumbest name ive ever heard for a tour.

they started doing it for monsters of mock i do believe. they shut down the block right infront of lincoln with a stage set up at one end, the entrance at the other. and i dunno if you've been back to LT since they did renovations, but i think you're gonna really like it man.

they recently added a date at mccarren pool in brooklyn. i might go to that. not really a big disco biscuits fan, but umphrey's has impressed me the few times i've seen them.

i hated the disco biscuits for a while, despite a buddy pushing them on me... at the time i absolutely loved umphrey's mcgee

now i hate umphrey's and love the biscuits.... weird how musical tastes can change like that

i'm the same way, i like and respect umphreys and will see them around here but ive never really been able to get into them that much, i remember the_drew was all about them years ago and tried to get me into them but i just couldnt into it that much. very good technical jams but not escapist enough for me.

i love conspirator. a lot of the newer songs the biscuits are playing are originally conspirator songs: orch theme, liquid handcuffs, commercial amen, boomshanker.

that is apparently the situation as of now... nothing is set in stone yet though, so we will see.

i personally would like to see some of the biscuits sit in with lotus, now that the option is out there.
