not for that, but for listing it on ebay, AND on here.
theoretically, it is is possible that you get a bid on here which is higher than the closing bid on ebay. what then? if you don't sell it to the ebay highets bidder, you could get into trouble, but if you sell it to him, you irk the person on here.4/13/2007 9:38:45 PM |

true...binding contract
but in any regards, don't sell your ring on tww or ebay. Take it to a jewelry store who repurchases rings...or a pawn shop. You won't get much, if anything on ebay4/13/2007 9:40:53 PM |

The headline in this post is not correct. The Emerald Cut Diamond is only 69 points (.69) carat. The total carat weight is 1.09 carats. 4/13/2007 10:34:33 PM |

Thanks for the replies guys. The reason I posted an add here was to get people to bid on the ring on Ebay. Regardless...I though that I could end the bidding before it was over with out consequence. Is that not true?
^^it was in a pawn shop on consignment for 6 months
^yes you are correct..I should have been more clear. 4/16/2007 8:55:21 AM |

you can end your auction without penalty (as unethical as some may concider it)....
however- you should really throw out an asking price or a reserve of some sort if you think any6one here is going to buy it 4/16/2007 9:20:15 AM |

I have a buy it now price of $3000 and a reserve set at $2500. The starting bid is $1,000. If it doesn't sell on Ebay I'll try idonowidont.com 4/16/2007 9:23:29 AM |

white gold will turn yellow if you don't continuously get it rhodium plated; should have gotten platinum 4/17/2007 10:17:37 AM |

thought about platinum but platinum is hard to buff out scratches and to resize. plus it needs to be cleaned every 6 months for the extended warranty so it stays nice and shiny. 4/17/2007 11:00:36 AM |

Platinum never loses metal though, gold does. Platinum just displaces so if you buff it regularly it will look the same and be the same thickness as the day it was purchased. Much better deal if you think every 6 months you're spending $60 on re-rhodium.

If they're platinum they can just be re-buffed to new unless the prongs are beaten. 4/17/2007 11:41:51 AM |

Now you know, go to a higher quality jewelry store next time that doesn't even deal in white gold for engagement rings. Its nothing but problems. 4/17/2007 11:49:01 AM |

Jared's is owned by Kay Jewelers, they sell I quality diamonds which mean you can see visible inclusions in them. That is a sign that it isn't a high quality store. People that shop there walking around showing off diamonds with visible carbon spots. Wow.
