^^^ Yeah I got the same message when I tried a couple days ago (it was the first I'd heard of this). Apparently the tickets have been on sale since sometime in March so they may very well be completely sold out.

^^ Why do you say that? Pink Floyd kicks ass.

even if i liked pink floyd (which i don't), symphonic arrangements of rock songs are almost universally lame. and i've been playing in symphonies for more than half of my life.

i like the symphony, and i love pink floyd. I can't wait

The Metallica / Symphony combo was pretty cool.

It's not just a symphonic arrangement. From the page:

Pink Floyd's music wasn't strictly guitars, drums, and bass. They've done plenty of stuff with orchestras. It's not like we're talking about the NC Symphony doing AC/DC. This would actually sound pretty good.

I was relieved to see that they're playing Wish You Were Here and Comfortably Numb. I was worried they might not play those. Because, you know, those songs don't get played very often.

i'd go if i knew it wasnt gonna be a rehash of every pf song ever played on the radio :yawn:
